Sara Ali Khan Commemorates 6 Years of ‘Kedarnath’ with Heartfelt Video

Mumbai, Dec 7 (NationPress) The talented Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan, who was most recently seen in the streaming film ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, is joyfully marking the 6-year milestone since the release of her debut film ‘Kedarnath’.
On Saturday, she took to her Instagram account to share a special video montage that includes various clips from the film along with behind-the-scenes moments. In her heartfelt caption, she expressed, “6 years of Kedarnath. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday and sometimes it feels like a lifetime away… Jai Bholenath. Thank you for making me me. And thank you for giving me a lifetime of memories”.
‘Kedarnath’ was a significant film for Sara as it marked her entry into Bollywood, featuring her alongside the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
This disaster drama is inspired by the tragic 2013 flash floods in Uttarakhand and narrates an inter-faith love story between a wealthy Hindu Brahmin girl, whose family runs a lodge and shops near the historic Kedarnath Temple, and a Muslim boy working as a 'pithoo' (porter) in the same area.
As the bond between the two characters deepens, they encounter numerous challenges, including familial opposition and differing backgrounds. Their love is put to the ultimate test as they must navigate through the devastating effects of the sudden 2013 Uttarakhand floods.
The film was expertly crafted by director Abhishek Kapoor, who is also recognized for his work on ‘Rock On!!’ and ‘Kai Po Che!’.
Despite the success of ‘Kedarnath’, Sara faced challenges at the box office in her subsequent projects, while SSR went on to deliver critically acclaimed performances in films like ‘Sonchiriya’, the box-office success ‘Chhichhore’, and the streaming film ‘Drive’ before his tragic passing at his home in Mumbai during the initial wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
