Mumbai, Jan 7 (NationPress) The talented Bollywood star Sara Ali Khan, recently featured in the historical drama Ae Watan Mere Watan, made a heartfelt visit to the Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy temple situated in Srisailam.
On Monday, the actress took to her Instagram account to post a stunning collection of images from her temple visit.
In her caption, she expressed, "First Monday of the year for Sara. Jai Bholenath."
Previously, Sara commemorated the sixth anniversary of her debut film Kedarnath by sharing a video on Instagram that displayed a montage of clips from the movie along with behind-the-scenes footage. She reflected, "6 years of Kedarnath. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday and sometimes it feels like a lifetime away… Jai Bholenath. Thank you for making me me. And thank you for giving me a lifetime of memories."
Kedarnath was Sara's entry into Bollywood, where she starred alongside the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
This disaster-themed film, inspired by the catastrophic 2013 floods in Uttarakhand, narrates an inter-religious romance between a privileged Hindu Brahmin girl, whose family runs a lodge and shops near the iconic Kedarnath Temple, and a Muslim boy who serves as a 'pithoo' (porter) in the area.
The film was crafted by Abhishek Kapoor, recognized for his work on 'Rock On!!' and 'Kai Po Che!'.
While Sara faced challenges at the box office following the success of Kedarnath, SSR achieved critical acclaim with the film 'Sonchiriya', enjoyed commercial success with the National Award-winning 'Chhichhore', and appeared in the streaming film 'Drive' before his tragic passing in Mumbai during the initial wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Looking ahead, the actress is set to star in the forthcoming film 'Skyforce'.
