Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces Third Bail Denial on Charges of Sex Trafficking and Racketeering

Los Angeles, Nov 28 (NationPress) Rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who stands accused of sexual crimes in Hollywood, has had his bail denied for the third occasion.
A judge pointed to the potential for witness tampering and evidence indicating violations of rules that restrict him from communicating with others, according to ‘Variety’.
The ruling was made by Judge Arun Subramanian following a hearing in New York that considered the need to maintain safety within the community.
As reported by ‘Variety’, Combs' legal team had proposed a $50 million bond secured by equity in his properties, along with commitments for security monitoring and a guarantee that he would not disrupt the investigations related to his charges.
The ruling indicated that “there is evidence supporting a serious risk of witness tampering,” noting that Combs reached out to witnesses “even after” his grand jury testimony in June 2024.
The judge also remarked that there “is evidence that Combs breached Bureau of Prisons regulations during his pretrial detention to disguise his communications with outside parties.”
According to the ruling, Combs allegedly compensated other inmates to contact individuals not on his approved list and solicited family and legal representatives to set up three-way calls that would be harder to trace.
Due to these offenses, the court concluded that his “propensity to evade BOP rules in a manner that complicates the monitoring of his communications is compelling evidence that the Court cannot be ‘reasonably assured’ regarding the adequacy of any release conditions.”
During a hearing last week, Assistant U.S. Attorney Christine Slavik stated that Combs “cannot and will not adhere to rules” and “cannot be trusted.” She further asserted that his legal team was unable “to manage their client.”
Combs is presently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. after his arrest on September 16 by Homeland Security on allegations of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
