Los Angeles, Dec 18 (NationPress) Hollywood actress and singer Selena Gomez has expressed feeling "vulnerable" regarding her voice. During an Instagram Live session, the 33-year-old artist addressed a fan query about the changes in her vocal tone over the years.
"Yes, I've received this question several times. The thing about my voice. So, sometimes when I’m on, nevermind," she shared, before changing the subject. "There’s no excuse. I don’t really care. My point is, sometimes things happen. I get a bit weird. My throat tends to swell up at times. That’s all."
Previously, the singer and actress has been open about the challenges she faces due to her diagnoses of lupus and bipolar disorder, according to reports from ‘People’ magazine.
In a recent episode of the ‘Good Hang with Amy Poehler’ podcast, she disclosed that she copes with arthritis stemming from lupus, which has influenced the design of her Rare Beauty products. "I have arthritis in my fingers due to my lupus. I remember before launching the brand, I struggled to open a water bottle, and it was extremely painful before I was on the appropriate medication. We naturally designed the products to be easy to open, and realized that this was essential. Thus, we began creating every item with the intention of accommodating anyone with dexterity issues.”
According to ‘People’, she has also engaged with her audience on lighter health queries. Last week, she shared a humorous question in a video on her Instagram Stories.
In a makeup-free appearance, Gomez told fans, "Someone made me laugh by asking, 'How do you shave your mustache?'" She clarified that she doesn’t have a five o'clock shadow; the discoloration is instead due to "melasma."
"I manage it and treat it, but yes, it’s present. I completely understand. It’s from sun exposure," the singer advised, encouraging her followers to use sunscreen.
