Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, April 3 (NationPress) Director Dennis Manjunath of 'Manithan Deivamagalam' revealed how renowned filmmaker Selvaraghavan, who stars in his movie, persevered through shooting a scene even while suffering from a high fever.
During the film's trailer launch, Dennis Manjunath shared a remarkable incident that took place on set, demonstrating Selvaraghavan's unwavering commitment to his craft.
He recounted, "I want to highlight a small event from our filming. We were capturing a crucial nighttime scene with an elaborate setup, featuring Selvaraghavan sir searching with a torch. The shoot was scheduled from 6 PM to 2 AM, but Selvaraghavan sir was already unwell with a fever. The cold weather and prolonged shoot led to delays, pushing the time to 3 AM and then to 4 AM. He was visibly exhausted by that point."
Continuing, he said, "Selvaraghavan sir suggested we could finish later and walked away briefly. However, moments later, he returned and insisted, 'Let’s complete this scene before we leave.' He likely wished to maintain the scene's continuity and not inconvenience the producer. He finished the scene right there, and that experience profoundly taught me about dedication and the true essence of artistry."
Dennis Manjunath expressed gratitude toward his entire cast and crew for their unwavering support throughout the filmmaking process. He stated, "I am sincerely thankful to everyone involved in this film. While crafting this story, I reflected on the dualities of life: hero versus villain, day against night, shadow versus light, and joy versus sorrow. For the protagonist, I naturally chose Selvaraghavan sir, and for the formidable antagonist, Mime Gopi sir. When I presented the story, Mime Gopi sir immediately responded, 'I will do anything for you.' I am immensely grateful for his trust and love. I believe this role will provide him with a refreshing experience."
