Mumbai, Sep 13 (NationPress) In addition to his remarkable musical contributions, singer Shaan ventured into acting with the 2014 film 'Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya', featuring Mika Singh as his co-star. During his guest appearance on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', host Kapil Sharma posed an intriguing question: 'Shaan Bhai, was acting always your ambition or did someone lead you astray?'
Shaan candidly admitted that he was indeed misled by Mika, who had convinced him that the film's script was exceptional, despite the fact that there was no script at all. They essentially improvised on set, taking each day as it came.
'I was led astray, I was misled. I was actually on a vacation with my family when Mika Singh called me, saying, 'Bhai, let's collaborate on a movie together. The script is fantastic. It will be a laugh riot.' I thought he had read the script and was ready to go. Back then, Mika was quite busy. I felt at ease because he was a part of the project. 'We have major stars like Anupam Kher and Asrani ji involved. Please join us,' he urged me,” Shaan recounted.
Shaan revealed that he would arrive on set already in makeup, often engaging in idle tasks until Mika arrived post 2:00 PM, when the actual filming would begin.
'The following day, I showed up for shooting, only to discover there was no script. Every morning, they would determine which scenes to film that day. Mika would seldom wake up before 2:00 PM, and I wandered around the set, fully made up,' he explained.
He further noted that the director would assign scenes to others, which were ultimately not included in the film, as they were merely biding time until Mika arrived.
