Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar Enjoy 'Masala Dosa' in Malaysia

Mumbai, December 7 (NationPress) Shabana Azmi, who has recently celebrated fifty years in Indian cinema, is enjoying her time in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, a vibrant Southeast Asian country.

On Saturday, Shabana Azmi took to her Instagram to share delightful moments from her trip to Kuala Lumpur. She posted a photo that captured her, her husband Javed Akhtar, and their friends, all gathered at a food court, surrounded by an impressive array of dishes.

In her caption, Shabana Azmi wrote: "I must admit, I dragged @javedakhtarjadu to a food court in #KualaLumpur and made him try masala dosa. Here we are with Rakesh Nigam @mayurpuri and Sheetal Rajsinghani @rakeshrnigam." Malaysia is known for its large Indian community, particularly from South India, and features many authentic Indian restaurants.

Previously, Shabana Azmi shared a snapshot from Kuala Lumpur showcasing lovely Christmas decorations. She mentioned, "Xmas festivities are in the air in Kuala Lumpur today with Shakti and Guneet." Shabana Azmi will soon appear in the film ‘Bun Tikki’, co-starring Abhay Deol and Ravi Kishan, featuring the return of Zeenat Aman, a beloved star from the 70s.

In a recent Instagram post from Jio Studios, she showcased the film ‘Bun Tikki’ with the caption: "We are excited to present Bun Tikki — a heartwarming tale of family, love, and identity. Starring icons such as Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Abhay Deol, this touching coming-of-age drama is set to premiere at the prestigious 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival 2025."

The film is co-produced by Manish Malhotra and Jyoti Deshpande, directed by Faraz Ali Ansari, and follows the journey of a seven-year-old boy named Shanu and his single father Sidhantha, portrayed by Abhay Deol.
