Mumbai, Jan 23 (NationPress) Shahid Kapoor recently appeared on Raj Shamani’s well-known podcast Figuring Out. During their engaging discussion, the Kabir Singh star shared insights about his upcoming film Deva, his childhood as a single parent upbringing, and his thoughts on parenting.

When asked about the qualities he hopes his children would inherit or avoid from him, the Jab We Met star responded, “Always do the right thing; I strive to do what’s right, regardless of my personal feelings or how it may affect me. It doesn’t matter, I’ll choose the right path.”

Shahid Kapoor explicitly stated that he does not wish for his children to pursue his career. He shared, “There are numerous things I wish them to avoid from my profession; I desire them to possess a natural confidence, which I believe they do. I lacked that innate confidence. Ideally, I wouldn’t want them to enter this profession; please don’t join acting. Choose a different path, it’s filled with ups and downs and can be quite challenging. If they wish to pursue it, it’s ultimately their decision, but I’d prefer them to select something simpler as this industry is too complicated.”

The latest episode featuring Shahid Kapoor on Raj Shamani’s podcast is set to be released on January 23, 2025.

Meanwhile, Shahid shared his insights about portraying Dev Ambre at the trailer launch of Deva. Describing the film as deeply personal, he expressed, “Deva is a piece of my heart. For many years, people have encouraged me to undertake a film that resonates with the masses. For me, this represents a significant step in my journey. This has been one of the most challenging films I’ve worked on. There’s so much to Dev’s character that I wish to keep under wraps—you’ll need to watch it on January 31.

Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, Deva is anticipated to hit theaters on January 31, 2025.
