Mumbai, July 21 (NationPress) Actor and former ‘Bigg Boss 16’ participant Shalin Bhanot reminisced about his encounter with Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan during a chat with Farah Khan. He also described Salman Khan as a “compassionate individual”.
Shalin appeared on Farah Khan’s YouTube show, where they discussed various celebrities, Bigg Boss, and indulged in delicious soya chaap.
While giving a tour of his residence, Shalin proudly displayed a photo taken with SRK, stating: “I take immense pride in this picture. It is with Shah Rukh sir… I just had to meet him… So, Morani bhai arranged the meeting at JW Marriott.”
At that moment, Shalin revealed that SRK was engrossed in filming the 2016 movie “Fan”, where he portrayed dual roles as Aryan Khanna, a star, and his obsessive lookalike, Gaurav Chandna.
“He was in the midst of shooting and passing by. He was filming for Fan. He had a prosthetic makeup on at that time, so thankfully, this was the only day he was free of it,” Shalin shared with Farah.
Farah mentioned her observations of Shalin on “Bigg Boss 16.”
She commented: “I thought Shalin had matured. But upon seeing him in Bigg Boss, I felt like shaking him up to ask what he was up to.”
Shalin responded: “One thing happened in Bigg Boss. Sajid came into my life. He is my mentor. I refer to him as BB.”
Farah noted that Sajid Khan and Shalin had numerous disagreements on the show.
“And you won’t believe it, since Bigg Boss concluded, it's not just once a week or every 10-15 days that Sajid checks in on me. He always asks, ‘Are you okay?’ and I respond, ‘Yes, BB. BB stands for bade bhaiya,’” he explained.
Shalin and Farah then chuckled about the trending hand gestures he used during Bigg Boss on Weekend Ka Vaar.
The actor recounted how the show's host, Salman Khan, continues to mimic those gestures whenever he sees Shalin.
“Salman sir approached from a distance, and as soon as he spotted me, he began doing the hand gesture… I was confused, asking, ‘When do I do that?’”
Farah noted that Salman enjoyed doing that.
Shalin replied: “He still does. He loves doing that…. But Salman sir truly cares for me; he is a very compassionate person.”
