New Delhi, March 24 (NationPress) Before making her mark in the acting world, Sharvari started her professional journey as an assistant director under renowned filmmakers like Luv Ranjan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Reflecting on her past, the actress mentioned that this experience provided her with invaluable knowledge and insights.
Sharvari, who served as an assistant director on projects such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Bajirao Mastani, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, opened up about her work with Bhansali on a film.
When asked if her experience behind the camera gives her an advantage over her peers, Sharvari replied to IANS: “I'm not sure if it gives me an edge, but it certainly offered me a wealth of experience and exposure, especially considering that I do not hail from a film background; I was unaware of the filmmaking process.”
This background boosted her confidence when she first appeared on camera.
“For me, working behind the scenes was crucial because it allowed me to understand how a film is crafted. Therefore, when I transitioned to acting, I felt significantly more self-assured since I understood the filmmaking process and was aware of the team surrounding me,” stated Sharvari, who was in the capital for the launch of Sheba’s new campaign titled “All they want is Sheba.”
Sharvari had the opportunity to assist Bhansali in the 2015 period drama “Bajirao Mastani,” which featured Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Ranveer Singh.
However, collaborating with Bhansali on a film remains a significant aspiration for Sharvari, who expressed that it would be a “dream come true” and has her “fingers crossed.”
The actress is currently preparing for her upcoming film “Alpha,” which also stars Alia Bhatt. In this film, the duo will portray super agents.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, “Alpha” will represent the seventh installment in the expansive spy universe of Yash Raj Films. This franchise began with the “Tiger” series, featuring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, starting with “Ek Tha Tiger” and subsequently “Tiger Zinda Hai.” The narrative continued with “War,” “Pathaan,” and “Tiger 3.” Upcoming titles in this franchise include “War 2,” directed by Ayan Mukerji, “Pathaan 2,” and “Tiger vs. Pathaan.”
On October 4, the creators of the anticipated spy film “Alpha” announced that the film is set to premiere on Christmas, December 25.
