Mumbai, Dec 17 (NationPress) Actor Shekhar Suman took a heartfelt journey down memory lane as he reminisced about his film Jaan Pe Khel Kar, where he shared the screen with Juhi Chawla. He declared himself as “extremely lucky” and also discussed his experiences collaborating with legends such as Rekha, Dimple Kapadia, and Madhuri Dixit.
Shekhar shared a black-and-white photo on Instagram featuring Juhi from the 1993 film “Jaan Pe Khel Kar”, directed by S.A.K. Khan. The plot follows Akash, a CID officer who is also a writer, while Kiran is a private detective determined to expose smugglers.
‘Throw back ..with Juhi Chawla in a film called "Jaan Pe Khel Kar" I had a triple role in that,” he noted.
He then reflected on working with Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi, and Dimple Kapadia.
“I was extremely lucky.. I got to work opposite four of the most beautiful actresses in India: Rekha, Dimple, Madhuri, and Juhi. #nostalgia #song from QSQT (sic),” he added, along with the song Gazab Ka Hai Din from the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak featuring Aamir Khan and Juhi.
Shekhar made his acting debut in 1984 with Utsav, where he starred alongside the iconic actress Rekha. He featured with Dimple Kapadia in the 1990 film Pati Parmeshwar and later appeared with Madhuri Dixit in Manav Hatya, released in 1986.
In his recent work, Shekhar was seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar”. This period drama is set against the backdrop of the red-light district of Heera Mandi in Lahore during the Indian independence movement.
The series delves into the lives of tawaifs and their entanglement with political and personal struggles under British colonial rule. The impressive cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, and Taha Shah Badussha.
