Mumbai, Aug 20 (NationPress) Actress Shilpa Shetty has extended a warm welcome to her husband Raj Kundra as he makes his entry into the film industry with his upcoming Punjabi movie 'Mehar'.
In an Instagram post, Shilpa expressed her excitement, stating: "Wohooo!! Punjabi cinema has a new HERO in town, and he’s been MY HERO for many years. Welcome to the movies @onlyrajkundra."
She also wished the team of 'Mehar' great success, saying: "Wishing you and the entire team of #Mehar immense success, director @therakeshmehta.de Paji, producer @divzbhatnagar @geetabasra, I absolutely love the songs and now the trailer. Can't wait to watch the movie. Picture abhi baaki hai, doston. Releasing on 5th September in theatres worldwide."
Responding to her heartfelt message, Kundra commented, "Thank you so much my Jaan, my queen, my everything @theshilpashetty."

Kundra will portray the character of Karamjeet Singh, a Sikh, in his debut film.

The weight of that dastaar bore a sense of responsibility and pride. Since that moment, I have made a conscious decision to always keep my hair covered and embrace the beautiful principles of Sikhi as a way of life. Directed by Rakesh Mehta, the film features Geeta Basra as the female lead, alongside Baninder Bunny, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul, and Kulvir Sony in key roles.
