As she traveled down memory lane, Shilpa recounted the painful farewell to her father, Surendra Shetty, who sadly passed away that year.

Nonetheless, it was also the year that marked the realization of some of her professional aspirations.

While reminiscing, Shilpa expressed on her official Instagram account, "2016: a stroll down memory lane... So many peaks and valleys... witnessed a dream materialize with my book, celebrated achievements, and... a sorrowful farewell to my dad. But Cest la vie... we must continue to create memories, as that’s what our souls carry with them (sic)."

On December 22 of the previous year, Shilpa lovingly remembered her late father on his birthday.
