In her caption, she expressed, “To the man I secretly wished to marry when I was a fan, and the man who has taught me so much as a co-star! Wishing an incredible birthday to Amit ji! May you continue to illuminate our screens for many more years to come! @amitabhbachchan.”
Khuda Gawah, released in 1992, is an Indian epic drama directed by Mukul S. Anand, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Sridevi in a dual role, Nagarjuna, Shilpa Shirodkar, Danny Denzongpa, and Kiran Kumar in key roles.
This film marked the third collaboration between Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan after Inquilaab (1984) and Aakhree Raasta (1986).
Set against the stunning backdrops of Afghanistan and India, the narrative follows Badshah Khan, an Afghan warrior seeking vengeance for the murder of his beloved Benazir's father. After fulfilling his quest, he is wrongfully accused of another murder, leading to his imprisonment in India.
At its release, it was touted as one of the most costly Indian films, second only to 1991’s Ajooba. It stood as the third highest-grossing Indian film of 1992.
Shilpa also featured alongside Big B in the film Hum, which premiered in 1991. Directed by Mukul S. Anand, the cast also included renowned names like Rajinikanth, Govinda, Kimi Katkar, Deepa Sahi, and Anupam Kher. This movie later inspired the 1995 Tamil film Baashha.
