Hyderabad, Dec 30 (NationPress) The team behind 'Saraswathi', which signifies Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's inaugural venture as a director, has officially declared that the film's shooting has been completed.

On Tuesday, Varalaxmi shared a heartfelt message on her Instagram, saying, "What a remarkable year it has been... My directorial debut #Saraswathi... We commenced filming a month back, and now it’s a WRAP for #Saraswathi."

The actress-turned-director expressed her gratitude to everyone who contributed to the film's journey, stating, "I’m thankful to each individual who was part of this wonderful endeavor. Every actor... every team member... from the lighting crew to production. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. There’s more to share... coming soon! Here's wishing everyone a fantastic new year ahead."

This film is produced by Varalaxmi along with her sister Pooja under the banner of Dosa Diaries.

Apart from Varalaxmi, the film features a stellar cast including Prakash Raj, Priya Mani, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, and Naveen Chandra.

'Saraswathi' also prides itself on a robust technical team. The music is composed by renowned music director Thaman, while Edwin Sakay oversees cinematography, Venkat Raajen handles editing, Sudheer is responsible for art direction, and dance choreography is by Brinda.

While details about the film's storyline remain under wraps, industry insiders suggest that it will be a contemporary thriller designed to keep audiences captivated from beginning to end.

In her acting career, Varalaxmi is also set to star in a Hollywood project alongside the acclaimed British actor Jeremy Irons.

It’s noteworthy that Varalaxmi, who has a significant role in the international film 'Rizana - A Caged Bird', remarked that collaborating with an Academy Award winner like Jeremy Irons feels surreal.

Reflecting on her experience with Irons, she stated, "Working alongside Academy Award winner Jeremy Irons is surreal. He is the voice of Scar in 'The Lion King', a movie I cherish to the extent that I know all the dialogues by heart. Making my Hollywood debut in a film with him is a dream realized.
