Chennai, Jan 16 (NationPress) Actress Shraddha Srinath, who portrays a significant role in director Bobby Kolli's recently unveiled film ‘Daaku Maharaj’, has disclosed that her character, Nandini, is inspired by Rani Gayatri Devi.

This film, featuring actor Balakrishna in the lead role, marks Shraddha Srinath's 25th film.

In a heartfelt social media post, Shraddha expressed, “Our inspiration was Rani Gayatri Devi. @kohl.play (Divya Sundar Rajan's) makeup was exceptional. She conducted thorough research on the popular nail polish of the 90s and emphasized an existing mole on my chin, which added a unique touch to the character.”

Discussing her hairstyles in the film, Shraddha noted, “@shivaraj_hairstylist (Kammari Shivararchary's) work was flawless. We experimented with several styles before deciding on soft curls styled into a bun. We aimed for a look that reflected Nandini's social status, as tied hair symbolically represents her lack of freedom. In her flashbacks, her hair is loose, showcasing her freedom like a bird.”

She continued, “Archana Rao's styling involved perfectly authentic vintage outfits adorned with striking florals. I specifically desired to collaborate with her, and she delivered excellently.”

Expressing her gratitude towards her team, Shraddha added, “I am thrilled that @vidhyaabreddy and I were able to assemble this talented group, as we aimed for nothing less than our vision. We truly hit the mark!”

The actress also acknowledged director Bobby Kolli's vision and cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan's visuals for transforming Nandini into the character she envisioned. “Like a rose. Beautiful to behold but can inflict pain if not treated gently,” she remarked.

With joy, she shared that #DaakuMaharaaj is being well-received, alongside a video from the film's final shoot in Rajasthan.
