Nabha Natesh Reveals Her Role as the Emotional Core in 'Swayambhu'
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, March 17 (NationPress) Actress Nabha Natesh, who stars as one of the two female leads in the highly anticipated pan-Indian period drama 'Swayambhu', directed by Bharat Krishnamachari and featuring Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role, has shared with IANS that her character serves as a crucial support system for the protagonist.
In an exclusive discussion with IANS, Nabha revealed, "I portray a character named Sundaravalli in the film. The narrative and the entire setting are mesmerizing. What captivated me about my character, a classical dancer who has grown up alongside the lead, is her profound emotional insight into the protagonist's journey. She is attuned to his highs and lows, aware of his strengths and weaknesses. She acts as his shadow, providing invaluable emotional support to him."
Nabha elaborated, "Success in life often hinges on the presence of supportive individuals, whether they be men or women. While the successful person may shine, it's during their struggles that these supporters become vital. They understand what emotions to touch upon and how to uplift the person who is down. I embody such a role in the film, and that defines my character's essence."
"Essentially, Sundaravalli plays a pivotal role during a critical juncture in the protagonist's life—when he hits rock bottom, she is there to instill faith and inspire him to rise again. This moment catalyzes a significant turn in the storyline, leading him towards achieving his aspirations," she added.
'Swayambhu', one of the most anticipated films of the year, is produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner and presented by Tagore Madhu. The film has generated immense excitement among fans and cinephiles alike for various reasons.
It is well-known that the young hero Nikhil Siddhartha traveled to Vietnam for martial arts training for this film. Remarkably, he became so skilled in swordplay that he can adeptly wield a sword in either hand.
Reports from IANS indicate that Nikhil wasn’t the only one receiving sword fighting training; even the supporting cast underwent rigorous training from experts.
Sources mentioned to IANS that a team of Vietnamese sword fighting specialists was brought in to train the stunt performers who participated in the film. An extensive climax sequence was shot over 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad with hundreds of performers involved.
It’s worth noting that the filmmakers confirmed the completion of this monumental project last November, after an exhaustive two-year journey and 170 days of filming.
'Swayambhu' is deeply rooted in India’s cultural heritage and will explore untold narratives from history, extending beyond conventional tales of royalty and warfare. At its core is the saga of a formidable warrior whose courage shaped an entire era. The film is set to be released on April 10 this year.
