Chennai, Jan 25 (NationPress) Director Bharat Krishnamachari's grand historical action film 'Swayambhu', starring Nikhil Siddhartha, Samyuktha, and Nabha Natesh, is set to be released globally on April 10 this year, as announced by its creators.
Initially slated to premiere on February 13 in honor of Maha Shivaratri, the release date has been shifted to April 10 due to the requirement for additional time on the film's VFX work.
Produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the banner of Pixel Studios and presented by Tagore Madhu, 'Swayambhu' has created immense anticipation among audiences and film enthusiasts alike for various reasons.
It's widely known that the young actor Nikhil Siddhartha traveled to Vietnam to enhance his martial arts skills for this project. Remarkably, he mastered the art of sword fighting, being capable of wielding a sword in both hands.
Sources revealed to IANS that not only Nikhil Siddhartha, but the entire supporting cast underwent sword fighting training with experts.
A team of Vietnamese sword fighting specialists was reportedly brought in to train the stunt performers, who participated in the film. The grand climax scene, featuring hundreds of performers, was filmed over a span of 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
Produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar of Pixel Studios, and presented by Tagore Madhu, 'Swayambhu' represents one of Nikhil’s most notable projects to date.
In November of the previous year, the production team confirmed that the extensive filming was officially completed after a rigorous two-year journey involving 170 days of shooting.
Grounded in India’s cultural legacy, 'Swayambhu' aims to explore uncharted narratives from history—tales that go beyond the conventional stories of monarchs and battles. At its core is the tale of a courageous warrior whose bravery defined an era.
