Chennai, March 17 (NationPress) Director Bharat Krishnamachari has revealed that his much-anticipated pan-Indian historical film 'Swayambhu' is set to release this summer. The narrative unfolds during a time just before what is recognized as India's golden era.
Bharat explains, “At one point, India was a prosperous and affluent superpower. Our film is situated in a time just before this glorious period, when we were on the verge of becoming a naval superpower.”
The film highlights the remarkable economic prosperity of India during this time. Our trade routes with the East—including nations like China—and the West, including empires such as Rome and Greece, were thriving. We extended our influence to southeast Asia, and numerous countries sought to engage in trade with us due to our economic advancement and technological prowess. This film captures the beginnings of our ascent as a superpower,” he elaborates.
'Swayambhu' is among the year's most anticipated releases, showcasing Nikhil Siddhartha in the leading role alongside actresses Nabha Natesh and Samyuktha. The film is produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner and is presented by Tagore Madhu. A source informed IANS that a team of Vietnamese sword-fighting specialists was brought in to train the stunt performers, who participated in an extensive climax sequence filmed over 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
In November of last year, the makers confirmed that this monumental project had officially completed filming. After two years of intensive effort and 170 days of shooting, the team proudly announced the film's completion.
