Chennai, Nov 25 (NationPress) According to industry insiders, sword fighting experts from Vietnam were brought in to train a multitude of stunt performers for the climactic sequence of director Bharat Krishnamachari's historical action epic, 'Swayambhu'. The film stars Nikhil Siddhartha, Samyuktha, and Nabha Natesh in leading roles.
It is widely known that young actor Nikhil Siddhartha traveled to Vietnam to undergo martial arts training specifically for this film. He has developed such skill with swords that he can wield one in each hand.
Recent reports from IANS reveal that the sword fighting training was not exclusive to Nikhil; the supporting cast also participated in sessions led by the experts.
A source explained, "A contingent of Vietnamese sword fighting professionals was flown in to instruct the stunt artists involved in the film. This extensive climax scene involved several hundred performers and was filmed over a span of 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad."
Produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under Pixel Studios and presented by Tagore Madhu, 'Swayambhu' is one of Nikhil's most ambitious projects to date.
The production team announced on Monday that filming has officially concluded. After a rigorous two-year production period, which included 170 days of shooting, they proudly confirmed the film's completion.
Proudly positioned as an epic tribute to India's rich history and enduring legacy, 'Swayambhu' is slated for release on February 13 next year in honor of Maha Shivaratri.
Nikhil described the experience as both challenging and thrilling, sharing insights into the filmmaking process in a release video titled 'Rise Of Swayambhu', which showcases the world-building and grandeur of the project.
Rooted in India's cultural legacy, 'Swayambhu' will explore lesser-known chapters of history—tales that transcend traditional narratives of royalty and warfare. Central to the story is a legendary warrior whose courage defined an era.
In the video, Nikhil also introduced his horse, Maruthi, and acknowledged the exceptional technical crew behind this grand cinematic endeavor. He undertook a complete physical transformation and rigorous training to authentically portray this challenging role, even providing his own voice for the Hindi version to enhance the narrative's authenticity.
The film features Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the leading ladies. The cinematography is helmed by visual artist KK Senthil Kumar, with music composed by the renowned Ravi Basrur. Production design is expertly managed by M. Prabhaharan and Raveendra, who meticulously crafted the film's grand visual aesthetic.
