Did Samyuktha Brave a Dangerous Stunt for 'Swayambhu'?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, Feb 20 (NationPress) Director Bharat Krishnamachari is presently at the helm of the much-anticipated pan-Indian film 'Swayambhu', featuring actor Nikhil Siddhartha in the lead role. He recently revealed that actress Samyuktha, who portrays one of the two female leads, exhibited remarkable bravery by executing a dangerous stunt that required her to be suspended on a rope for a staggering two days.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Bharat Krishnamachari shared, "Samyuktha displayed immense courage by performing this perilous stunt independently. The sequence necessitated her to climb a mountain with a river flowing perilously below, relying solely on a single harness for safety. This scene was filmed at real locations, specifically in Maradmalli, Andhra Pradesh. The incline she ascended was nearly vertical, significantly increasing the challenge involved."
Highlighting the difficult terrain, the director noted that even a quick response from the crew would have been hampered by the location's inhospitable nature. He praised Samyuktha for her resolute determination to capture an exceptional shot.
Bharat emphasized, "We owe a great deal of gratitude to stunt choreographer Joshua Master and his team, who meticulously planned and executed this sequence with great efficiency."
Among the year's most awaited films, 'Swayambhu' is being produced by Bhuvan and Sreekar under the Pixel Studios banner and is presented by Tagore Madhu. The film has generated significant anticipation among fans and cinema enthusiasts alike for various reasons.
It is well-known that the young hero Nikhil Siddhartha traveled to Vietnam to undergo martial arts training for this film. He has become so skilled with swords that he can engage in combat using either hand.
Sources revealed to IANS that it wasn't just Nikhil Siddhartha who received sword-fighting training; even the supporting cast underwent instruction from experts.
An insider informed IANS that a team of Vietnamese sword-fighting specialists was brought in to train the stunt performers, who were part of an extensive climax sequence shot over 60 days at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
Notably, the production team announced in November of the previous year that they had officially completed filming. After a rigorous two-year journey, which included 170 days of extensive shooting, the team proudly declared the film finished.
Rooted in India's rich cultural heritage, 'Swayambhu' will explore untold narratives from the past—stories that extend far beyond conventional tales of kings and battles. At its core lies the saga of a remarkable warrior whose bravery shaped a significant era.
