Tennis Premier League (TPL) Season 8 will be held from 8 to 13 December 2026 at the LB Tennis Stadium in Hyderabad, under the auspices of the All India Tennis Association (AITA) and with the backing of the Government of Telangana. The six-day tournament marks TPL's first-ever edition in Hyderabad, as the league continues its push to expand into new Indian cities and grow its national audience.

Eight Teams, 25-Point Format

Eight franchise teams — GS Delhi Aces, Hyderabad Strikers, Lucknow Blazers, Gurgaon Grand Slammers, Gujarat Panthers, Rajasthan Rangers, Kolkata Thunder Blades, and Mumbai Royals — will compete in TPL's signature 25-point format, in which every point carries decisive weight. All matches will be live-streamed on JioHotstar, making the action accessible to fans nationwide.

Star Power On and Off the Court

The tournament will feature top-ranked international players alongside India's leading tennis talent. Tennis icons Leander Paes and Sania Mirza are expected to be present, lending marquee appeal to the event. Bollywood personalities and team co-owners Rakul Preet Singh and Sonali Bendre Behl will also be in attendance, cheering for their respective franchises.

Expanding TPL's National Footprint

For the league's organisers, Hyderabad represents more than a venue change — it signals a deliberate strategy to deepen penetration in South India and broaden the sport's base. The TPL App already connects the league to more than 400 affiliated academies across the country, underlining the grassroots infrastructure being built alongside the marquee tournament. LB Tennis Stadium, one of India's largest dedicated tennis facilities, provides the scale to match those ambitions.

With Season 8 also marking TPL's first season under its partnership with Kia India, the league heads into December with heightened commercial momentum and a city that brings both sporting pedigree and a fast-growing tennis community.
