Actress Shreya Sharma and producer Prerna Arora have joined forces once again for a promotional dance number set to feature in an upcoming Malayalam film, marking Shreya's first foray into the Malayalam film industry. The collaboration, announced in Mumbai on 9 June, follows the pair's earlier success with the hit song 'Pallo Latke'.

A Bigger, Bolder Outing

According to Shreya, the new number is a significant departure from their previous work together. 'Pallo Latke' drew widespread audience appreciation, and the duo is now aiming to build on that momentum with what Shreya describes as 'much bigger, bolder, and truly hatke.' The track will serve as the official promotional song of the film and is being positioned as one of its major highlights.

'Reuniting with Prerna Arora feels incredibly special because Pallo Latke received so much love from audiences, and that success gave us immense confidence. This upcoming song is completely different from anything I have done before,' Shreya said.

Shreya's Malayalam Debut

For Shreya, the project carries added personal significance as it represents her first association with the Malayalam film industry. She described it as her 'second major musical outing' after 'Pallo Latke', and noted that Prerna was emphatic about her involvement from the outset.

'Prerna ma'am was very clear from the beginning that she wanted me to be a part of this song because she believes the Prerna-Shreya combination can once again create something spicy, fresh, and memorable for audiences,' Shreya added.

The song is scheduled to be filmed in June, with the Malayalam film itself expected to release by the end of 2025. Shreya highlighted the opportunity to collaborate with some of the leading choreographers in the Malayalam film industry, calling each rehearsal a learning experience that has pushed her to explore new dimensions as a performer.

'I'm also thrilled because I'm getting the opportunity to learn from one of the biggest choreographers in the Malayalam film industry. Every rehearsal has been a learning experience and has pushed me to explore a completely new side of myself as a performer,' she said.
