Mumbai, May 24 (NationPress) Actress Shriya Pilgaonkar, renowned for her roles in ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Broken News’, and ‘Taaza Khabar’, is set to portray a police officer in her latest streaming series.
In ‘Chhal Kapat The Deception’, the teaser released on Saturday reveals a gripping narrative during a cozy wedding in Burhanpur. The plot thickens when one of the bride's closest friends is discovered dead.
This joyous occasion spirals into a chilling whodunnit, laden with hidden secrets, bitter feelings, and betrayal among lifelong companions. Inspector Devika, played by Shriya Pilgaonkar, spearheads the murder inquiry. Devika is an astute officer, harboring a mysterious past and sharp instincts. As concealed truths surface, relationships are strained, and the lines between loyalty and treachery start to blur.
Directed by Ajay Bhuyan and produced by Juggernaut Production, the series also features Kamya Ahlawat, Ragini Dwivedi, Tuhina Das, Yahhve Sharma, Pranay Pachauri, Smaran Sahu, and Anuj Sachdeva among others.
The show is slated to debut on ZEE5 in June.
Last year, Shriya was part of the jury panel for the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA), focusing on the Shorts category at the 2024 festival edition.
