Shruti Haasan and Aamir Khan Kick Off Filming for ‘Coolie’ in Jaipur

Mumbai, Dec 12 (NationPress) Actress Shruti Haasan and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan have landed in the vibrant city of Jaipur to commence shooting for their much-anticipated film ‘Coolie’.

This cinematic venture features Tamil film legend Rajinikanth in a leading role and has been generating significant excitement since its announcement. The project signifies the inaugural collaboration between Shruti and Aamir, igniting enthusiasm among fans eager to see their on-screen partnership.

Reports indicate that Shruti Haasan has already initiated filming alongside Aamir Khan in Jaipur. Having previously filmed segments of ‘Coolie’ in Vizag and Chennai, Shruti is fully engaged in this exciting project. With Aamir now part of the cast, the anticipation for this film has escalated tremendously.

The film is under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj, renowned for his work on ‘Vikram,’ ‘Kaithi,’ and ‘Leo.’

The team is currently immersed in an intensive 10-day shooting schedule in Jaipur, capturing crucial scenes for the film. ‘Coolie’ is set to be a cinematic delight, promising to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline and outstanding performances.

In addition to Shruti and Aamir, the film features Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John, and others in significant roles.

The technical team comprises composer Anirudh Ravichander, editor Philomin Raj, and cinematographer Girish Gangadharan.

Produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Coolie’ is scheduled for a grand release in 2025.

Shruti, the daughter of Tamil cinema legend Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika Thakur, is also an accomplished playback singer. She has lent her voice to Hindi films including ‘Aazma’ from ‘Luck,’ ‘Alvida’ from ‘D-Day,’ and ‘Joganiyan’ from ‘Tevar.’

She began her journey as a music director with her father's production ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ and has since established her own music band. She received the Best Music Director award for ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’ at the Edison Awards.

Last year, the actress unveiled her single ‘Monster Machine,’ an edgy, industrial rock track that celebrates a misfit attitude.
