Shweta Singh Kirti marked Raksha Bandhan 2024 with a deeply personal tribute to her late brother, actor Sushant Singh Rajput, sharing rare childhood photographs and memories of the sibling bond they shared. Memories of Shared Toys and Kalakand

In her post, Shweta recalled how, as a child, she willingly shared her favourite possessions — including her only doll and a small kitchen set she had received as a gift — with Sushant, finding greater joy in watching him play with them than in keeping them for herself. She wrote: 'How I still remember this day… how elated I felt to share all my toys with you. My only doll, the little kitchen set I had received as a gift… somehow it would make me even happier to see you play with them and enjoy them.'

When it came to sweets, however, the rules were different. Shweta admitted that since both siblings shared an equal love for sweets, she was meticulous about ensuring the portions were identical — not a crumb more for either side. 'But oh my my… when it came to sweets, which both of us loved equally, it was a different story I wanted to make sure we shared exactly equally. Nobody gets more, nobody gets less… it had to be damn equal!' she wrote.

The Kalakand Photograph

A standout moment in her post was a childhood photograph showing Shweta feeding Sushant kalakand on Raksha Bandhan. Reflecting on the image, she wrote: 'Look at my face in this picture while I am feeding Bhai the Kalakand on Rakshabandhan I remember being so particular about giving him exactly half… just look at that expression! How intently I am watching to make sure he doesn't take a bigger bite. These are the memories I will always keep so close… so very cherished.'

Another throwback image in the post featured a young Sushant sitting on the floor and playing with Shweta — a snapshot of an ordinary afternoon that now carries extraordinary weight.

Shweta ended her tribute with a tender, almost playful note addressed directly to her brother. 'Btw Bhai… next birth, if I take one, you will have to play my bigger, loving sister… and I get to be the naughty, sweet brat that you were,' she wrote.
