Could the Makers of Simbu's 'Arasan' Excite Fans with a BTS Video?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, Dec 22 (NationPress) The creators of the much-anticipated action film 'Arasan', directed by Vetrimaaran and starring actor Silambarasan, popularly known as Simbu, have unveiled a Behind The Scenes (BTS) video titled 'Behind the Rise of Arasan', sparking excitement among fans and cinephiles alike.
Insiders reveal that Simbu is currently filming in Kovilpatti, with this shooting schedule set to continue until month-end.
Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, associated with V Creations, took to his X account to announce, "The rise begins! Behind The Rise of #Arasan is out now!" along with the BTS video link.
The BTS footage offers a sneak peek into Simbu's transformation for his role in the film. Additionally, it showcases how director Vetri Maaran operates on set, including moments of Simbu interacting with actor Samuthirakani. Much of the BTS content appears to have been filmed during the creation of a promotional material that was released earlier.
The film has generated significant anticipation for several reasons. Primarily, this marks the first collaboration between Simbu and the acclaimed director Vetri Maaran. Furthermore, it is produced by one of Tamil cinema's leading producers, Kalaipuli S Thanu. The recent announcement of Vijay Sethupathi joining the project has only added to the enthusiasm.
A promo released earlier this year begins on a light-hearted note with director Nelson making a cameo.
Simbu tells director Nelson that what he is about to reveal is entirely factual. The details regarding the killers, victims, names, and locations are all genuine. However, he urges Nelson to present it cautiously, advising him to include a disclaimer since many cases are still under trial. "I'm stating this because if what I reveal comes to light, not just 'innocents' like me but various lawyers, politicians, police officers, and judges could face repercussions," he cautions.
As Simbu shares this, the Arasan team issues a disclaimer.
"If you provide a disclaimer, even if the incidents depicted are true, no one can challenge you," he reassures a visibly anxious Nelson. He mentions his case is next for hearing and promises to return for further explanation.
As he heads to court, he receives guidance from his lawyer. When he takes the witness stand, the judge informs him that the police have accused him of three murders in a single night and asks for his plea. Simbu responds that he is innocent of the murders, yet subsequent scenes suggest otherwise...
The promo indicates this will unveil an untold narrative from the universe of 'Vada Chennai'. Notably, the title 'Arasan' was just recently confirmed by the production team.
Vetrimaran's upcoming film with Simbu will also feature Andrea Jeremiah, Vijay Sethupathi, Samuthirakani, and Kishore in pivotal roles, with music by Anirudh.
It's important to note that director Vetrimaran has dispelled rumors concerning the second installment of his highly-anticipated film 'Vada Chennai'. He clarified that his next endeavor, 'Arasan', will star Simbu but will not be 'Vada Chennai 2', as speculated by some media outlets. He affirmed that the narrative of 'Arasan' will, however, be set within the realm of 'Vada Chennai'.
