Guwahati, Feb 7 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, had a productive meeting on Friday with Natarajan Chandrasekaran, the Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Group, at his residence on Prithviraj Road in New Delhi.
During the hour-long discussion, the focus was on the significant investments that the Tata Group plans to make in Assam, particularly the semi-conductor plant located in Jagiroad.
It's worth mentioning that the Chief Minister recently visited the site of this mega plant.
Sarma also extended a formal invitation to Chandrasekaran for the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit scheduled in Guwahati on February 25 and 26.

To stimulate business growth within the state, a significant investor summit, Advantage Assam, is set to occur in Guwahati this February. Sarma previously stated that this summit aims to attract further investments to the region.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the government plans to create more job opportunities and provide support for entrepreneurship to the residents of the state. He noted that the event, taking place on February 25 and 26, will also showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe communities.
“This summit serves as a platform to present Assam's rich cultural heritage to a global audience while also drawing in investors,” he remarked.
A spectacular Jhumur dance performance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists will be a highlight of the event. The Chief Minister described it as an extraordinary showcase.
He assured that meticulous execution would be ensured through master training workshops, constituency-level sessions, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati.
CM Sarma explained that the goal of ‘Advantage Assam’, the second edition of this international investor summit since its inception in 2018, is to enhance infrastructure development and investment in the state.
