Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to Conduct Investor Roadshow in Mumbai Today

Guwahati, Jan 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, is preparing to host a roadshow in Mumbai today, with the objective of attracting prospective investors for the upcoming investment and infrastructure summit known as 'Advantage Assam'.
Having spent the last three days in Mumbai, CM Sarma engaged in discussions with prominent industrialists concerning investments in the state. He emphasized that the government is dedicated to positioning Assam as an appealing destination for investors.
On Sunday, the CM met with Noel Tata, Chairman of the Tata Group, expressing, “It was an absolute pleasure to meet Shri Noel Tata, the Chairman of @tatatrusts. We talked about synergising our efforts to enhance the living conditions of our people and bolstering the Trust’s significant contributions in Assam’s healthcare and education sectors, especially in cancer care. I have also invited him to attend #AdvantageAssam2.
Additionally, CM Sarma held talks with Jeet Adani, Director of the Adani Group, and Anand Gopal Mahindra, the Chairman of Mahindra Group, during his time in Mumbai.
He shared on his X account, “It was such a delight to meet Shri @anandmahindra. His commitment to an industrialized India and his intellectual capabilities are commendable. I have invited him to collaborate with the Assam Government in our pursuit of industrial advancement.”
CM Sarma remarked, “During my meeting with Shri Jeet Adani, Director of @AdaniOnline, the group expressed their strong interest in exploring opportunities in the infrastructure, power, and defence sectors within Assam,” adding that the Adani Group has extensive plans for industrial growth in the region.
“I am pleased to see our state prominently featured in the Group’s expansion initiatives,” he noted.
The Chief Minister indicated that the Advantage Assam event scheduled for February 24 and 25 will showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe clans.
CM Sarma stated, “This summit serves as a platform to present Assam's rich heritage to a global audience while also attracting investors.”
A stunning performance of Jhumur dance with over 7,500 dancers and artists is planned for the summit. The CM described it as an extraordinary spectacle.
He added, “Meticulous execution will be guaranteed through master training workshops, constituency-level sessions, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati.
The concert, anticipated to take place on either day of the summit, is expected to leave a lasting impression on attendees.
