Assam Chief Minister Engages with Tata Group Chairman for Investor Summit

Guwahati, Jan 4 (NationPress) Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met with Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekharan on Saturday to explore the details of the upcoming investor summit, Advantage Assam 2.0, which will take place in Guwahati in February.
Sharing insights on his social media, Sarma stated, "My discussion with the Chairman of @TataCompanies Shri N Chandrasekharan was very productive. Alongside the discussions regarding the upcoming #AdvantageAssam 2.0, we extensively talked about the vast opportunities Assam presents for investors and entrepreneurs."
The Chief Minister has initiated a three-day visit to Mumbai starting Saturday, aimed at engaging potential investors for the summit. He also met with CEOs from various Tata Group subsidiaries.
"During my time in Mumbai, I had a constructive dialogue with CEOs from diverse Tata Group entities. We encouraged them to take part in #AdvantageAssam2.0, which I believe will serve as an excellent platform to enhance the historic partnership between Assam and the Tata Group," the Chief Minister added.
Furthermore, CM Sarma held discussions with Aalok Shanghvi, Executive Director of Sun Pharma. "I had an insightful conversation with Shri Aalok Shanghvi regarding the potential within Assam's pharmaceutical sector and the Group's expansion strategies in the State. I also invited him to join us for the #AdvantageAssam2.0 Summit this February," the Chief Minister mentioned on his social media handle.
The aim of Advantage Assam 2.0 is to bolster infrastructure development and attract investments in the state, making it the second edition of the international investor summit since its inception in 2018.
This two-day event is anticipated to attract investors from across India and globally, reinforcing Assam's position as a rising investment hub in the nation. Scheduled for February 24 and 25 in Guwahati, the summit will also showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe.
Sarma emphasized, "This summit will serve as a platform to present Assam's rich heritage to an international audience while drawing in investors." A spectacular Jhumur dance performance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists is planned for the occasion, promising to be a remarkable display, according to the Chief Minister.
Preparations are in full swing for this cultural spectacle, with the Chief Minister stating, "We will ensure flawless execution through master training workshops, sessions at the constituency level, district performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati."
The concert, scheduled for either day of the summit, is expected to leave a lasting impression on attendees.
