Guwahati, Feb 10 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, commenced a two-day journey to Singapore on Monday to advocate for the forthcoming investment summit titled Advantage Assam, set to occur on February 25 and 26.
Sarma aims to engage with leading industry stakeholders in Singapore, presenting Assam's potential as a burgeoning center for investments.
“During my stay in Singapore, I will promote Advantage Assam, emphasizing the state’s expanding prospects in sectors like semiconductors, deep technology, infrastructure, and manufacturing. We plan to conduct a roadshow and engage in one-on-one discussions with industry leaders to explore strategic partnerships and investment avenues. A significant emphasis will be placed on establishing Assam as a rising hub for advanced industries and innovation,” the Assam CM shared on X.
Previously, the Chief Minister visited South Korea and Japan, where he held meetings with potential investors, inviting them to attend the Advantage Assam summit.
Sarma expressed that this summit is poised to attract further investments to the state, alongside promising more government job opportunities and entrepreneurial assistance for the local populace.
According to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the event will also showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe clans.
Sarma remarked, “This summit serves as a platform to present Assam's rich traditions to a global audience while also drawing in investors.”
A stunning performance of the Jhumur dance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists will be a highlight of the event, as stated by the CM.
Preparations for this cultural celebration are in full swing. The Chief Minister noted, “We will ensure flawless execution through master training workshops, constituency-level sessions, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati.
