Assam Chief Minister Engages with PM Modi in Delhi to Address Crucial Matters

New Delhi, Dec 2 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, had a fruitful meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the capital on Monday, where they addressed a variety of developmental challenges facing the state.
During this meeting, CM Sarma extended an invitation to PM Modi to participate in the upcoming Investor Summit scheduled to take place in Assam in February 2025.
CM Sarma shared on X, "Today in New Delhi, I had the honor of receiving the guidance of Adarniya Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji on multiple developmental matters. On behalf of Assam's populace, I also had the pleasure of inviting him to grace the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit and the Mega Jhumur Performance in February 2025, which he graciously accepted."
It's important to note that the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit aims to showcase Assam's vibrant cultural heritage on an international platform.
As per Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the summit, happening on February 24 and 25, will emphasize the traditional Jhumur dance from the tea tribe communities.
Sarma remarked, "This summit serves as an opportunity to present Assam's rich traditions to a worldwide audience while also attracting potential investors."
Additionally, a spectacular Jhumur dance performance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists is planned for the event. This extraordinary showcase will include 32 female dancers and an equal number of male dancers, representing each of Assam's 800+ tea gardens, as stated by the Chief Minister.
Preparations for this cultural extravaganza are currently in progress.
The Chief Minister assured, "We will ensure flawless execution through master training workshops, sessions at the constituency level, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati."
The concert, scheduled for either day of the summit, is expected to leave a lasting impression on attendees.
This initiative follows Assam's previous accomplishment of setting a Guinness World Record for the largest Bihu dance performance.
The aim of Advantage Assam 2.0, marking the second edition of this international investor summit since its inception in 2018, is to bolster infrastructure growth and investment within the state.
The two-day event is anticipated to attract investors from across India and the globe, further establishing Assam as a prominent investment hub in the country.
