Assam's Chief Minister to Embark on Three-Day Investor Outreach in Mumbai

Guwahati, Jan 4 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, is slated to begin his three-day trip to Mumbai this Sunday, aiming to entice prospective investors for the forthcoming infrastructure summit in the state.
During his visit, he will also participate in a roadshow in Mumbai.
On the social media platform X, CM Sarma shared, "For the next 3 days, I'll be in Mumbai to meet the leaders of India Inc. and explore areas of mutual collaboration for the upcoming #AdvantageAssam 2.0 Summit. I will also take part in the Road Show to invite potential investors to the land of limitless opportunities – Assam."
A significant investor summit - Advantage Assam 2.0 is scheduled to be held in Guwahati in February.
CM Sarma stated that this summit is poised to generate increased investments in the state. He indicated that more government jobs and support for entrepreneurship will be offered to the populace.
As per Chief Minister Sarma, the event, set for February 24 and 25, will showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe clans.
He noted, "This summit serves as a platform to present Assam's rich traditions to a global audience, in addition to attracting investors."
A magnificent Jhumur dance performance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists will be part of the event. It promises to be an extraordinary spectacle, according to the CM.
Preparations for this cultural showcase are currently in progress.
The Chief Minister remarked, "Perfect execution will be guaranteed through master training workshops, constituency-level sessions, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati."
The concert, planned for either day of the summit, is expected to leave a lasting impression on the attendees.
This initiative follows Assam's recent achievement of a Guinness World Record for the largest Bihu dance performance.
Advantage Assam 2.0, the second edition of the international investor summit since its launch in 2018, aims to enhance infrastructure development and investment within the state.
The two-day event is anticipated to attract investors from around the globe, reinforcing Assam's position as a burgeoning investment hub in the nation.
