New Delhi, Feb 18 (NationPress) Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma engaged with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the capital to discuss the forthcoming investment summit, Advantage Assam.

On the social media platform X, CM Sarma expressed, "Today in New Delhi, I had the honour of meeting Home Minister @amitshah Ji to seek his guidance for #AdvantageAssam2."

Earlier, the Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is committed to implementing investor-friendly policies to draw investments, noting that Assam boasts the finest semiconductor policy in the nation.

He stated, "Assam is actively promoting investor-friendly policies. Our Semiconductor policy is the best in the country -- Beyond the Centre's incentives for semiconductor industries, we are offering an additional 50 percent PLI along with comprehensive infrastructure and policy support."

The Chief Minister is looking forward to significant investments at the upcoming summit, 'Advantage Assam', set to occur on February 25 and 26.

CM Sarma believes this summit will enhance investments in the state.

He indicated that additional government jobs and support for entrepreneurship will be extended to the state's residents.

The Chief Minister has traveled to South Korea, Japan, and Singapore to engage with prominent industry leaders and invite them to invest in Assam.

According to CM Sarma, the event will showcase the traditional Jhumur dance of the tea tribe clans.

He remarked, "This summit is a platform to present Assam's rich traditions to a global audience while attracting investors."

A magnificent Jhumur dance featuring over 7,500 dancers and artists will be a highlight of the event, promising to be an exceptional performance.

The preparations for this cultural festivity are in full swing.

The Chief Minister assured, "Flawless execution will be guaranteed through master training workshops, constituency-level sessions, district-level performances, and final rehearsals in Guwahati."

The concert, scheduled for either day of the summit, is expected to leave a lasting impression on attendees.

This initiative follows Assam's achievement of a Guinness World Record for the largest Bihu dance performance.
