Sonakshi and Zaheer Seek Roles in an Italian Mafia Film

Mumbai, Nov 30 (NationPress) Bollywood star Sonakshi Sinha and her spouse Zaheer Iqbal were enjoying a holiday in Italy when they jokingly asked if there were any casting calls for an Italian mafia film.
Sonakshi shared a series of images on Instagram, showcasing the couple dressed sharply in Italy. The actress appeared stylish in a black suit, while Zaheer sported a classy look in a striped suit.
To heighten the theatricality of the photos, she included the legendary soundtrack from “The Godfather”, featuring Al Pacino.
In her caption, she wrote: “Anyone casting for an Italian mafia movie… call us.”
The classic film “The Godfather”, which debuted in 1972, is a monumental gangster movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It draws inspiration from Puzo's acclaimed 1969 novel.
This film features a stellar cast including Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Richard Castellano, Robert Duvall, Sterling Hayden, John Marley, Richard Conte, and Diane Keaton. Being the first part of The Godfather trilogy, it narrates the story of the Corleone family, led by patriarch Vito Corleone (Brando), from 1945 to 1955. The narrative revolves around the evolution of his youngest son, Michael Corleone (Pacino), from an unwilling outsider to a formidable mafia leader.
Sonakshi and Zaheer exchanged vows on June 23 in Mumbai after a romantic relationship spanning 7 years. Their initial meeting occurred at a gathering hosted by Bollywood icon Salman Khan. Interestingly, both Sonakshi and Zaheer launched their careers under Salman's guidance.
While Sonakshi debuted alongside Salman in the blockbuster ‘Dabangg’, Zaheer made his entrance with Salman Khan’s production ‘Notebook’. The couple reportedly dated for seven years and cohabited for a year before their marriage.
On the professional front, the actress is gearing up to share the screen with her husband in ‘Tu Hai Meri Kiran’. The duo previously collaborated in the movie ‘Double XL’, featuring Huma Qureshi, and a music video titled ‘Blockbuster’.
