Sonakshi Sinha Celebrates ‘King Khamosh’ Shatrughan on His 79th Birthday

Mumbai, Dec 9 (NationPress) On her father’s 79th birthday on Monday, actress Sonakshi Sinha celebrated in a unique manner.

Sonakshi took to her Instagram stories to share a nostalgic photograph of herself with her father. In the image, she added a “Happy Birthday” sticker and referred to him as “King Khamosh”.

Shatrughan has been married to his wife Poonam Sinha since 1980, and they are proud parents of three children: Sonakshi, Luv, and Kush Sinha.

Additionally, Shatrughan’s friend and fellow actor Jackie Shroff, with whom he has collaborated in films like “Jawab Hum Denge” and “Yudh”, also paid tribute on Instagram by posting a photo of the two.

Jackie captioned the post with: “#HappyBirthday” accompanied by a blue heart emoji.

Shatrughan, who serves as a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha, began his acting career with a role as a Pakistani military officer in Dev Anand's Prem Pujari. He gained recognition for his villainous performances in films like Pyar Hi Pyar, Banphool, and Raampur Ka Lakshman.

He starred alongside his wife Poonam in the film Sabak in 1973 and shared the screen with Amitabh Bachchan in notable films such as Raaste Ka Paththar, Yaar Meri Zindagi, Shaan, and Kala Paththar.

His filmography includes titles like “Kalicharan”, “Bombay To Goa”, “Naseeb”, “Dostana”, “Ab Kya Hoga”, “Yaaron Ka Yaar”, “Dillagi”, “Vishwanath”, “Muqabla”, and “Jaani Dushman”, among many others. His most recent appearance was in “Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se” in 2018, where he portrayed the character Judge Sunil Sinha.

As for Sonakshi, who is currently enjoying her married life with husband Zaheer Iqbal, she will next appear in “Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness”, a thriller featuring Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, and Suhail Nayyar in significant roles. This film marks the directorial debut of Sonakshi’s brother Kussh S Sinha.
