Mumbai, Nov 2 (NationPress) Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha, who is preparing for her forthcoming film ‘Jatadhara’, revealed that transitioning in and out of her character was nearly effortless for her.
The actress discussed this during a promotional event in Mumbai with IANS, stating that she considers herself a “switch-on and switch-off actor”.
She explained to IANS, “For me, moving between characters is generally straightforward since I don’t carry my work home. While I’m on the film set, I immerse myself in the character, but I leave it there.”
Sonakshi further elaborated, “When I’m at home, I’m not embodying my character. I’m unaffected by the intensity of my roles because I don’t let them follow me home. Everyone has their own process, and I respect that.”
‘Jatadhara’ is a mythological-supernatural thriller directed by Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal. The film features Sudheer Babu and Sonakshi Sinha in pivotal roles. It delves into the murky realms of Indian folklore, black magic, and avarice, weaving a narrative around an ancient treasure protected by demonic entities. Sonakshi portrays a cryptic pishachini (female spirit), while Sudheer Babu plays a man lured into a sinister world filled with rituals and redemption.
The film is crafted on an extravagant scale and melds visual splendor with spiritual themes, presenting a cocktail of horror, mysticism, and ethical dilemmas.
Produced by Zee Studios' Umesh KR Bansal, Prerna Arora, Aruna Agarwal, Shivin Narang, and co-produced by Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora, with Creative Producers Divya Vijay and Sagar Ambre, the film is scheduled for release in both Hindi and Telugu on November 7, 2025.
