Mumbai, Dec 17 (NationPress) Bollywood star Sonali Bendre recently revealed in a heartfelt discussion with celebrity couple Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa that her off-screen persona is completely different from her character Preeti in Hum Saath Saath Hain.
“I am absolutely nothing like that,” Sonali asserted. “Don’t you recognize me?” she playfully questioned Bharti.
During the entertaining exchange on the podcast hosted by Bharti and Haarsh, Singh reminisced about Sonali’s performance as the gentle, soft-spoken Preeti in Hum Saath Saath Hain, noting that she appeared “charming, innocent, and utterly serene” in her role.
Bharti also mentioned that Sonali was perfectly suited for the role of a reserved, delicate, and introverted character.
In response to this portrayal, Sonali made it clear that she is not at all like the character she depicted in the film.
The Dahek actress confidently stated that her actual personality is much more assertive and resilient. “I’m quite opinionated. I have thoughts on everything. I am nothing like that character,” Sonali elaborated while reflecting on her renowned Hum Saath Saath Hain role.
For those unfamiliar, Sonali Bendre played Preeti, a compassionate doctor who is nurturing, mature, and modest in the immensely popular film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
The movie, released 26 years ago in 1999, was directed by Sooraj Barjatya.
Sonali’s character was romantically paired with Prem, portrayed by Bollywood icon Salman Khan.
