Mumbai, Sep 9 (NationPress) Renowned singer Sonu Nigam, whose legendary track "Bijuria" was recently remixed for the film “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” featuring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, revealed that he never anticipated that Bijuria would "stand the test of time".
He shared several nostalgic images from the song's recording session on his official Instagram.
Nigam expressed: "26 years ago, while creating Bijuria, we had no idea the song would endure and evolve so much! We were shouting, whistling, and discussing tales only we understood, filled with laughter and learning, ultimately crafting timeless music."
Recognizing the talent behind the enduring hit, he remarked, "My dear Ravi bhai, Tarun bhai, and the late Ajay bhai, we accomplished this with such joy and innocence. Thank you, God, for this wonderful journey. Enjoy #bijuria once more!"
Varun reacted to Nigam's post, commenting: "Seeing this today is incredible. 26 years ago, I was just 12, and this song truly inspired my dream of becoming an actor," alongside a clapping emoji.
On Sunday, Varun announced he has discovered a new dance partner in his pet, Joey.
In a fun clip, Varun was seen dancing to the Bijuria track from “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” with Joey, playfully opting for his furry friend over his original co-star, Janhvi Kapoor.
He humorously apologized to his Bawaal co-star, stating: "I’ve found the best dance partner… Sorry @janhvikapoor!"
Nigam stated that Bijuria is a song that has lived through various eras.
“When we initially recorded it, I never imagined it would be cherished for so long, remaining evergreen and almost eternal. Looking back decades later feels like a full-circle moment. I'm honored that the original vocals still resonate strongly enough to be included in this new version," he concluded.
