In a delightful video, Varun was seen dancing alongside his furry friend to the tune of the “Bijuria” track from his eagerly awaited film, “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari”.
This amusing clip showcased him having a joyous time with Joey, replacing his original dance partner for the song, Janhvi Kapoor.
Apologizing to his 'Bawaal' co-star, Varun wrote in the caption: “Found the best dance partner...Sorry @janhvikapoor.”
In response to the post, actress Pooja Hegde, who stars alongside Varun in “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai”, commented: “Joey has had enough,” accompanied by a laughing emoji.
Their co-star Mouni Roy chimed in with: “Joeyyyyyyyyyy,” along with several heart-eyed emojis.
The creators of “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” released the “Bijuria” song on Wednesday.
Speaking about this remixed track, Varun expressed: “When I first heard this new version of Bijuria, nostalgia hit hard, and I knew it was something special. There’s a connection and a vibe we’ve all grown up listening and dancing to, but this version has a fresh, crazy energy that matches the madness of our film and makes you want to get up and dance.”
Reflecting on filming the sequence, he added: “Shooting this with Janhvi and having the original Sonu Nigam singing the track was a fun experience. The hookstep, beats, and vibe have been stuck in my head ever since. I hope this song plays at every party during the upcoming festive season.”
This new rendition of the song originally performed by Sonu Nigam has been reinterpreted, composed, and produced by Tanishk Bagchi, who also contributed additional lyrics.
Nigam noted that “Bijuria” is one of those tracks that has had many lives.
“When we first recorded it, I had no idea it would be so loved and last so long, evergreen, as if eternal. Revisiting it now decades later, feels like a full-circle moment. I’m humbled that the original vocals still resonate enough to be part of this reimagined version,” he shared.
