Mumbai, Aug 1 (NationPress) Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan recently appeared with an injured arm to deliver a heartfelt message to his fans following his win of the National Award for Best Actor for his role in the blockbuster ‘Jawan’.
This achievement marks SRK's first National Award in over three decades of his illustrious career, making him the first Khan to secure the Best Actor accolade.
In his video message, he expressed, “I’m filled with gratitude, pride, and humility. Being recognized with the National Award is a moment I will treasure forever. My heartfelt thanks to the jury, the chairman, the INB ministry, and everyone who deemed me deserving of this honor. I’m particularly grateful to all the directors and writers, especially in 2023. Thank you, Raju sir, thank you Saeed, and a special thanks to Atlee sir and his team for believing in me for Jawaan and for this award.”
He continued to express his appreciation for Atlee, the director of ‘Jawan’, saying, “Atlee sir, like you say, mass. I also want to thank my management team who tirelessly supports me. They accept my quirks and impatience, making me appear far better than I truly am, even in this video. This award wouldn’t have been possible without their love and perseverance. Thank you immensely for all that you do. My wife and children have shown me endless love and care over the years, treating me like the child of the house and wishing nothing but the best for me.”
He added, “They recognize my passion for cinema often takes me away from them, but they handle it with grace and allow me the necessary time. Hence, thank you very much for that. A National Award transcends mere achievement; it is a reminder that my work holds significance. It urges me to persist, to toil harder, to innovate, and to serve cinema. In a world filled with distractions, being truly heard is a rare gift. I pledge to transform this recognition into a driving force for continuous growth, learning, and contribution. This award reminds me that acting is not just a job; it’s a responsibility to portray truths on screen.”
“I am immensely grateful for everyone’s affection. Lastly, to my fans, thank you for your cheers and tears, and truly, thank you for momentarily pausing your scrolling to appreciate my work. This award belongs to you, as does every accolade, and I wish I could embrace you all and share my love, but currently, I am a bit incapacitated. However, don’t fret; keep the popcorn ready. I will return to theaters and screens soon, albeit with just one hand,” he concluded.
The actor is presently in the USA receiving treatment for his arm injury.
