Mumbai, July 11 (NationPress) Renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai recently marked the 55th wedding anniversary of his long-time friends, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha.
Sharing a heartfelt post on Instagram, he uploaded a photo with the couple during their anniversary festivities, captioning it: “Family friends for 55 years zindabad. SHATRUGHAN SINHA FAMILY SUBHASH GHAI FAMILY with an enduring bond of love and mutual respect (sic).”
Ghai extended his warm wishes to Poonam and Shatrughan for a joyful life ahead.
“We celebrated their wedding anniversary on July 9 at Taj Bandra. Wishing my beloved sister, Mrs. Poonam Sinha, and my dear friend, Shatrughan Sinha, an abundance of happiness in the years to come. My love and blessings to the entire Sinha family from the Ghai family and friends always (sic).”
On July 10, Ghai praised Shatrughan’s son Kussh Sinha for his directorial debut, Nikita Roy, likening its style to that of the legendary Alfred Hitchcock. He described it as a technically adept and captivating thriller.
He expressed, “I was filled with pride for the debut director of NIKITA ROY, who exhibited remarkable talent as a ‘DIRECTOR IN COMMAND’ in his very first film. I watched it last evening; it’s a suspense thriller, a mystery, and horror, shot beautifully like a classic film focusing on superstition and rational thought (sic).”
“It reminded me of Hitchcock's cinema of our era, technically. Congratulations to KUSSH SINHA and the entire team of this engaging film NIKITA ROY, coming to theaters next Friday. Wishing you great success. @kusshssinha @luvsinha @aslisona.”
Nikita Roy stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role, supported by Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal, and Suhail Nayyar. The film is set to release on July 18.
