Subuhi Joshii Discusses the Intriguing Nature of Her Role in ‘Dons and Darlings’

Mumbai, Dec 12 (NationPress) Actress Subuhi Joshii reveals that her role in the upcoming series “Dons and Darlings” is captivating because it features numerous twists and turns.
Elaborating on her character, she shared: ”My character Ananya is an aspiring model who dreams of standing alongside her superstar boyfriend, but fate has different plans that will change their lives forever.”
She continued: ”When preparing for a role, I believe it’s essential to comprehend the character's psyche. You must mentally embody that persona. So, prior to starting any project, I spend a few days immersing myself in the mindset of that character.”
“What emotions will that individual experience? How will they communicate? Every character possesses a distinct tone, character, and body language.”
Subuhi stated that this technique has enhanced her performance in front of the camera.
“For several days, I endeavor to think and act like that character. This practice consistently aids me in delivering a stronger performance on screen,” she noted.
Subuhi’s previous project was also “Nagvadu”.
She remarked, ”What sets Dons And Darlings apart is the abundance of events. My character is filled with twists and turns, providing me with a lot to portray. There are many shades to her, which makes her highly engaging. I believe this is one of the best roles I’ve ever played, and it's quickly becoming a favorite of mine.”
Regarding her background, Subuhi was born in Mumbai. She commenced her career as a DJ and has participated in various print ads and fashion shows.
She has featured in a music video alongside Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh and another called “Woofer” with Harshit Tomar. Subuhi began acting as a child at the age of 3 with the show “Nimantran” on Doordarshan.
She later participated in the reality show Big Switch in 2010. In 2013, she appeared in two additional reality shows, Video Wars and Splitsvilla: Season 6. Subsequently, she featured in several TV series such as Bh Se Bhade, Warrior High, Love Dosti Dua, and Comedy Classes.
She has also been seen in episodic shows like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya on Zing, Emotional Atyachaar, Confessions of an Indian Teenager, and MTV Gumrah: End of Innocence. Additionally, she made a wild card entry in Splitsvilla: Season 8.
