Akanksha Puri Shares Gratitude for Diverse Roles in ‘Dons and Darlings’

Mumbai, Jan 1 (NationPress) TV actress Akanksha Puri recently shared her enthusiasm for the chance to explore multiple dimensions of her character in her new series, Dons and Darlings.
The actress conveyed her gratitude for the chance to dive into the complexities and varied aspects of her role, emphasizing the depth and versatility it presented. Portraying Naaz, the daughter of a formidable Don, Akanksha mentioned that she embraced a character that is significantly different from her own life. Coming from the background of an Assistant Police Commissioner, she ventured into a realm that is far removed from her real-life experiences, fully immersing herself in the intricate dynamics of Naaz's life and relationships.
Puri remarked, “Naaz is very different from me, and that’s what made the role exciting. As an artist, I was fortunate to explore so many shades within one character. Naaz is a daughter, a wife, a lover, and part of the most powerful family. Yet, all she craves is love. I believe many people will resonate with her struggles and emotions.”
Discussing her collaboration with co-stars, Akanksha described the experience as smooth and pleasurable.
“Even though I didn’t know anyone personally or had worked with them before, the chemistry was natural, and everyone was well-prepared. It made shooting a breeze,” she explained.
On her collaboration with ALTT, the former Bigg Boss OTT contestant noted, “This is my second project with ALTT after Honey Trap Squad. It’s always a pleasure to work with them. They are extremely organized and clear about the creative vision, which makes the process efficient and enjoyable. I’d love to collaborate with them again.”
In a related note, Dons and Darlings also features Naagin-fame Manish Khanna and Beyhadh-fame Imran Khan in lead roles. The thriller was launched on Altt on December 27, 2024.
The web series revolves around two infamous gangsters, Sikandar and Balraj, who are competing for a position in the imminent election. Both aspire to seize control of the city and establish a powerful criminal empire once they achieve victory. However, their ambitions extend beyond power as they indulge in wild, erotic nights with various women every day.
