Social media influencer and Lock Upp Season 2 contestant Sufi Motiwala made a series of deeply personal revelations following his eviction from the reality show, including an account of an alleged sexual assault by a former roommate that left him barricaded in a bathroom for nearly 12 hours. The disclosures, made on 27 July, covered three significant episodes from his life that he had intended to share during his time on the show.

The Alleged Assault

Motiwala recounted that his former roommate would repeatedly sit across from his bed and stare at him while he slept, creating a persistent sense of fear and discomfort. The situation escalated when, according to Sufi, the roommate allegedly attempted to force himself on him.

'My roommate would just be sitting on his bed and keep staring at me as I slept. That would make me really scared. One day, he just tried to force himself on me and started kissing me, making me extremely terrified,' Sufi said.

He reportedly ran downstairs immediately and reported the incident to the owner of the paying guest accommodation. The response he received, he said, compounded his trauma significantly. According to Sufi, the PG owner responded: 'Why are you sleeping with him? You should sleep with me.' Shaken by both incidents, Sufi said he locked himself inside a bathroom for close to 12 hours as he struggled to process what had occurred.

Loss of Grandmother and a Missed Call

In a separate emotional disclosure, Sufi spoke about the grief of missing his grandmother's final phone call. She had reportedly called him just two days before her death, but he did not answer. He learnt of her passing two days later and was not permitted by his family to attend her funeral.

Sufi also revealed that his grandmother had left him ₹50,000, which he used to purchase a phone — a device that, he said, set him on the path to content creation.

Friendships, Feelings, and Fear of Connection

Motiwala's third revelation addressed his experiences with friendship and romantic feelings during his college years in Delhi. He said he made only two male friends during that period, and over time developed romantic feelings for some of them. Those friends, he said, subsequently distanced themselves from him. The experience, he admitted, has left him fearful of forming close bonds with others.
