Mumbai, January 23 (NationPress) As 'Border 2', featuring his son Ahan Shetty, makes its debut on the big screen this Friday, Suniel Shetty offered a heartfelt insight into the significance of this franchise throughout the years. He emphasized that Border is not merely a film, but a profound responsibility he has shouldered long after the final scene was filmed.

Sharing a reel on Instagram, Suniel showcased clips from his iconic 1997 film 'Border' alongside the new release 'Border 2', with the evocative song 'Mitti Ke Bete' playing in the background.

Suniel expressed the emotional journey of seeing Ahan don the uniform on screen, noting that it represents more than nostalgia; it symbolizes discipline, sacrifice, courage, and the silent strength of those who defend the country.

“Today marks the release of Border 2. My dear son, I want you to know that for me, Border was never just a role; it transformed into a commitment I embraced long after the cameras stopped rolling. (sic).”

He added: “Years later, witnessing you in the uniform brings everything full circle—not as nostalgia, but as a reminder of discipline, silence, and courage.”

Suniel conveyed to Ahan that Border 2 transcends notions of glory and warfare; it serves as a reminder of the essence of peace. He stated that a border is not merely the end of a nation, but the beginning of courage, and some narratives extend beyond cinema, embedding themselves in the fabric of the nation.

“This movie is not about glory. It is not about war. It serves as a reminder of why peace holds significance. A border is not merely where a nation concludes; it is where courage commences. Some stories transcend the screen—they become part of a nation's identity.”

'Border 2' draws inspiration from the 1971 war and real-life events. The film is produced by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. With a robust production team comprising Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, it is directed by Anurag Singh.
