Bollywood actor Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja opened up about her husband's alleged extra-marital affairs on the reality show 'Lock Up Season 2', saying that dwelling on the matter would only aggravate her diabetes. Speaking candidly during an emotional exchange with fellow contestant Shreya Kalra, Sunita said she has consciously chosen peace over anguish — and her children over confrontation.

What Sunita Said on Lock Up Season 2

Shreya reminded Sunita of a past interview in which she had spoken about feeling cheated in her marriage. Responding without hesitation, Sunita said in Hindi: 'Hua toh abhi kya kar sakte hain… shuru se hi hua hain na lekin? Hero hain toh you can't say anything. Iss umar mein abhi sochunga toh diabetes aur badhega. Jaise chal raha hain chalne do.'

Translated, her words convey a resigned acceptance: 'If it happened, what can I do now? It has been there since the beginning, right? He is a hero, so you can't say anything. At this age, if I keep thinking about these things, my diabetes will only increase. Let things continue the way they are.'

When Shreya pressed further and asked if she still feels sad, Sunita replied simply: 'It is fine, I live for my kids.'

On Whether She Tries to Stop Him

Asked whether she believes Govinda continues to be unfaithful, Sunita was equally matter-of-fact. In her words: 'Tum rok sakte ho kisi ko? Main 24 ghanta unke saamne baithi rahu? Samne wala bhi toh irritate ho jayga na? Main sochti hi nahi hoon.'

The translation: 'Can you stop anyone? Should I sit in front of him 24 hours a day? The other person will also get irritated. I simply don't think about it.'

She also revealed that the couple live in separate houses. 'Many people come to meet him at his house. I want privacy in mine,' she said, indicating a living arrangement that appears to have become a practical boundary within the marriage.

Four Decades of Marriage and a Family

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have been together for nearly four decades. The couple have two children — daughter and actress Tina Ahuja, and son Yashvardhan Ahuja, who is reportedly preparing for his Bollywood debut. Sunita has previously spoken about how the alleged affairs affected her deeply in the early years, but says she has since made peace with the situation.

Govinda's Recent Years in the Spotlight

Once among the biggest names in 1990s Bollywood, Govinda delivered a string of blockbusters including 'Coolie No. 1', 'Hero No. 1', 'Raja Babu', 'Dulhe Raja', and 'Haseena Maan Jaayegi'.
