Mumbai, April 5 (NationPress) Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja, who celebrates Navratri with deep devotion, has shared her heartfelt wishes to Mata Rani during this holy time. In an exclusive interview with IANS, Sunita discussed her strong faith in Mata Rani, her unique way of observing Chaitra Navratri, and the impact it has on her life.

Sunita emphasized, "Navratri signifies nine Goddesses, including Kala Ratri, whose blessings can eliminate adversaries. Anyone who casts an evil eye on my family will surely face the power of Kala Ratri Maa."

When asked about her celebrations, Sunita revealed, "I have been observing Navratri for the past 25-30 years. I celebrate with immense enthusiasm, fasting for all nine days and consuming only ‘falahaar’. I also perform Ghatasthapana for Mata Rani at home, along with an ‘Akhand jyot diya’ and ‘Khetri’. Throughout Navratra, we avoid non-veg, onions, and garlic."

When asked if she has any cherished memories or rituals tied to Navratra, she stated, "I conduct Chaitra Navratra at home, but for the Navratra occurring in October-November, I visit Vaishno Devi. I perform Devi Darshan on Ashtami in Vaishno Devi and then observe Kanya Pujan on Navmi."

Sunita also mentioned how Chaitra Navratra affects her life, stating, "Fasting during Navratra brings immense peace and strength to combat my challenges. I also pray to Mata for the safety of my children and tranquility in our home."

Recently, Sunita was in the spotlight due to speculation about her possible separation from husband Govinda. Reports suggested that she issued a divorce notice six months ago, but Govinda's manager later denied these claims, asserting that no such actions have been undertaken by Govinda.

Govinda and Sunita were married in March 1987 and are the proud parents of two children: their daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan.
