In a recent Instagram update, the actress explained that she distanced herself from the small screen for commendable reasons. Surbhi expressed her long-term fascination with theatre and her ambition to conquer her stage fright, prompting her to delve deeper into this art form. On Saturday, she unveiled a video showcasing her forthcoming stage performance. In her post's caption, she acknowledged that theatre challenged her skills as an actor and stirred her apprehensions about performing live.

The Sanjivani star described herself as a “wanderer of the wilderness,” now entering a realm where nothing can be edited, cut, or redone—a space where every emotion and moment is experienced in real-time. Announcing her theatre debut in “Manto Ke Dastavez,” she referred to it as the start of a fresh creative venture, expressing gratitude and readiness for the future.

Surbhi stated, “I have been away for all the right reasons. From the television sets to the theatre lights... My admiration for theatre has always been profound. Watching a play leaves me in awe of the entire process, making me ponder if I can ever face my fears as an actor!”
