Chennai, April 26 (NationPress) Actor Suriya officially revealed on Saturday that he will be collaborating with Telugu film director Venky Atluri for his forthcoming Tamil film.
It is noteworthy that Venky Atluri is known for his blockbuster film 'Lucky Bhaskar', which starred Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role. The financial crime drama received widespread critical acclaim and became a massive success, ringing the cash registers at the box office.
During a pre-release function for his upcoming film 'Retro' in Hyderabad, Suriya announced that his project with director Venky Atluri would be produced by the well-known production house Sithara Entertainment.
"Today, I have a significant announcement. The entire journey commenced with Allu Aravind garu. We are partnering with Sithara Entertainment's Vamsi garu and my dear brother Venky here. This will be my next venture. As many of you have inquired, after a considerable time, with wonderful collaboration and exceptional talent, we will be working on my next Tamil film with dear Venky. I will be filming extensively and spending considerable time in beautiful Hyderabad. Starting in May, we will embark on this new project. We need your love and blessings, and I am confident this will be an incredible journey," Suriya stated.
Currently, Suriya has an exciting lineup of films, starting with director Karthik Subbaraj’s 'Retro', set to release on May 1. He is also engaged in other projects like 'Vaadivaasal' with Vetrimaran and #Suriya45, directed by R J Balaji.
Director Karthik Subbaraj's 'Retro' will co-star Pooja Hegde alongside Suriya. In addition to Suriya and Pooja Hegde, the film will feature esteemed actors including Malayalam talents Joju George and Jayaram, as well as Tamil actor Karunakaran.
The film's music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna. Editing has been executed by Shafique Mohamed Ali, while art direction is managed by Jacki and Mayapandi. The film promises to be action-packed, featuring stunts choreographed by Kecha Khamphakdee.
Interestingly, Suriya underwent specialized martial arts training in Thailand for this film.
